Emerging Donor Alliance Grantmaking Criteria
We want to connect our members with hardworking, high-impact nonprofits working to support Chicago communities. Following best practices for collective giving, we prioritize partnering with small- to medium-sized community-based organizations within each of our giving circle issue areas for 2025-2026: Environmental Action, Health Equity, Inclusive Communities, Stable Foundations, and Youth Opportunity. Each EDA giving circle will vote on a Chicago nonprofit to make their annual grant to in May 2026 for the 2025-2026 programming year.
Environmental Action
For members who have expressed interest in the environment, sustainability, and community development.
Health Equity
For members who have expressed interest in reproductive justice, gender equity, and healthcare.
Inclusive Communities
For members who have expressed interest in immigrants’ rights, racial justice, and community development.
Stable Foundations
For members who have expressed interest in housing, community development, and food security.
Youth Opportunity
For members who have expressed interest in education and youth development.
